ONE PLATFORM ALL POSSIBILITIES

OUR MISSION

Reliable nucleic acid delivery for genetic medicine research

Vectorialis makes nucleic acid delivery work reliably at the bench, so that the research behind genetic medicine moves faster

Transfection is the rate-limiting step in most gene and RNA therapy programs in their preclinical phase. Variability, toxicity, and low efficiency in primary and hard-to-transfect cells slow every project they touch. VibroFect® was built to remove that bottleneck by combining vibration-assisted assembly of nucleic acid complexes with reagents designed for it

Our core business is upstream of the clinic: we give the laboratories developing the next generation of genetic medicines a transfection platform they can trust. In parallel, we work directly with clinical research partners on therapeutic applications of VibroFect®, co-engineering the formulation around the cargo, the target cell, and the disease

OUR HISTORY

How we turned a transfection problem into a platform

Vectorialis began inside genT_LAB at Politecnico di Milano, where the founding team had spent years working on a stubborn problem in non-viral gene delivery: nucleic acid complexes assembled passively in solution are heterogeneous, and that heterogeneity drives the variability researchers see at the bench

The path from hypothesis to platform required developing the vibrational hardware and the reagent chemistry in parallel, since neither worked without the other. Three years of co-development, with the hardware parameters and the polymer formulation refined against each iteration of bench data, produced what became VibroFect®

The VibroFect® patent family protects the method and the reagents. Vectorialis S.r.l. was incorporated in 2026 as a spin-off of Politecnico di Milano by Gabriele Candiani and Nina Bono, with the mandate of bringing VibroFect® out of a single academic lab and into routine use in transfection workflows worldwide

Today the platform is used by eight research groups in academia and industry, with applications spanning pDNA, mRNA, and siRNA delivery into primary and hard-to-transfect cells. The team behind the company is the same group that developed the technology
